BabyBjorn Active

$130.00 Released January, 2007

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Offers pretty good support for a baby's back and head. Clips and connectors are simple, make taking the baby in and out quite easy. Keeps kids comfortable and out of the way enough not to interfere with simple tasks.

The Cons:The lumbar support is useless unless it's tightened to an uncomfortable extent. The top flap doesn't stay folded down well for carrying a child facing forward. The shoulder pads aren't very well padded, making longer periods of use quite painful.

The BabyBjorn Active is a high end baby carrier that is suitable for both infants and toddlers.  The carrier is designed with wide, padded shoulder straps and a sliding lumbar adjustment to provide even weight distribution, better back support, and accomodate tall heights.

Children can be positioned two ways in the BabyBjorn Active: inward-facing for newborns over 8 lbs and at least 21" tall and forward-facing for older babies up to 26 lbs.  It provides a great deal of support for the child's back in both positions and includes a head/neck support that can be used for inward-facing babies and folded-down to allow forward-facing babies to see out.  The carrier is machine washable and is guaranteed free from harmful substances.  The BabyBjorn Active differs from BabyBjorn's top-of-the-line Synergy baby carrier since it lacks the heat and moisture reduction and the integrated storage pouch that come with the Synergy.
