Britax Roundabout
$180.00
Released March, 2007
The Pros:Good range of adjustability to hold the infant securely and comfortably. Durable construction can handle being taken out of the car regularly. Easy to install into the vehicle, straps in with minimal effort.
The Cons:Fabric is hard to clean as you need to unhook all the straps and it isn't machine washable.
The Britax Roundabout is a compact convertible car seat that supports a weight of 5 to 35 lbs (rear facing) and 20 to 40 lbs (forward facing). Designed for infants between 1 day to 2 years old, the Britax Roundabout is essentially a slightly downgraded peer to the Britax Diplomat in that it doesn’t feature an infant body pillow or True Side Impact Protection.

Rather, the Roundabout utilizes a regular side impact protection that works to distribute crash forces, shield from vehicle intrusion, and properly contain both the head and body. In addition, the Roundabout boasts a tangle-free five-point harness with three adjustable heights, a patented Versa-Tether for energy management, front- and rear-facing recline, and a premium push-button LATCH systems that provides quick, simple, and tight installation. The Britax Roundabout retails for a slightly more affordable $179.99 (versus $199.99) and comes with a 1 year limited warranty.
