The lumbar pad for the lower back is removable as is the shoulder pads, there is a padded backrest, head support and leg openings for the baby, a foam padded seat for the baby, a padded waist belt to distribute the baby's weight on the parent, and the seat is adjustable in 3 positions to fit what the baby needs most. The fabrics are machine washable but must be dried on a line.
