When there is a change in climate, the parent is immediately informed by a digital display on the monitor. In addition, the DECT SCD520/00 offers a whopping 330 m two-way transmission range so that the parent can listen to and speak to their child. Furthermore, the SCD520/00 offers sound lights to indicate if the baby makes noise (even if the volume is turned off) and in fact allows the parent to increase/decrease the microphone sensitivity as needed. The DECT SCD520/00 also offers an audible link indicator that indicates a continuous connection between the transmitter & monitor, not to mention a belt clip for hands-free convenience and mobility. The Philips AVENT DECT SCD510/00 retails for a slightly more expensive $124.99 (versus $104.99) and comes with a 2 year limited warranty.
